Interviews and backup recordings
We hire small digital audio recorders to clients who require a good digital recording, but not a full four-track or conference setup. This is particularly useful for recording small interviews involving two or three people. Handheld digital recorders can also be a useful way to make a backup recording, if you already have a larger recording system at your meeting.
The recorders are about the size of a small digital camera. They have a built-in multi-directional microphone and are mounted on a small stand. The recorders can be placed unobtrusively on a table between interview participants.
Our clients often operate the handheld recorders themselves, and then upload the digital files to our secure server for transcription.
